This video is a little shaky. It was never my intention to upload it to YouTube. It was recorded with the intent to show a friend what he can do to a cart. Please keep that in mind.
Here is my cart with an 18hp twin cylinder Briggs. This was the first major mod i had ever done to a cart. i pulled this engine from an old craftsman lawn tractor. this engine was the shit in this cart. it sounded awesome and had balls. but like all good things, beat the shit out of it enough and it will stop working. i put several miles on that engine and it ran real good. terrible on gas tho. going from the original 2 cycle 9hp robin engine to this massive engine was a huge margin for fuel consumption and a huge step in ponys. i had just started teaching myself to mig weld. not knowing anything about how to bond steel to itself in order to bolt this engine into a golf cart…. what a task i had gotten myself into. bring on YouTube. between watching others weld and internet research, push and pull, nickels, gas mixes and types, oh man. welding sounds complicated. not really. and i just went at it. used scraps that i found laying around the garage and started building my motor mounts, next thing i knew i was driving this cart down the road.
